Lindy C. Boggs Lock on the Red River closed to traffic for repairs

VICKSBURG, Miss -- Lindy C. Boggs Lock on the Red River is currently closed to all navigation traffic so we can repair a crack in the miter gate anchorage. Crews are currently on site

Boggs Lock is estimated to be closed from 10 days to six weeks, depending on the severity of the damage to the anchorage. The extent of damage may not be known until concrete around the anchorage is removed. The estimated closure time may be extended if additional repairs are deemed necessary.

The district remains in regular communication with stakeholders about locking operations.
