Overview
The Public Affairs Office (PAO) of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District, fulfills the Department of the Army’s and the Corps’ obligation to keep the American public fully informed about its missions and activities. We work to build and maintain public confidence in the Corps and its ability to execute operations effectively.
The PAO serves as the principal advisor to senior leaders on public affairs strategies and guidance. We develop and implement communications plans to increase awareness of the Corps’ functions, responsibilities, and contributions.
The PAO, including our Visual Information workshop researches, prepares, and distributes news releases, articles, web content, videos and photographs to civilian and military media outlets. We also coordinate public tours, community relations events, and other outreach activities to strengthen connections with local communities and stakeholders.
