Contracting Opportunities

The Vicksburg District’s contracting opportunities can be viewed and downloaded from the SAM.gov website, a one-stop online marketplace where commercial vendors and government buyers are invited to post, search, monitor and retrieve opportunities solicited by the entire federal contracting community. Though registration isn't necessary to view procurement opportunities, we recommend registering at this site to take advantage of all the site’s features. Only registered users can receive automated search results via e-mail or list their firms as an interested vendor in association with an opportunity.

The following links will take you directly to the active notices for the Vicksburg District but you can also use the filters on the left side of the sam.gov page to further refine your search. Be sure to include W912EE in your search as that is the code for all Vicksburg District notices. If you are unable to find the information you are looking for, please use the contact information on this page to let us know how we can help you.

Getting Started

An Offeror is required to be registered in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov) when submitting an offer or quotation and shall continue to be registered until time of award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering agreement, or blanket purchasing agreement. Lack of a current registration in the SAM database will make an offeror ineligible for award.

  1. The first step in registering is to obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI).  This 12 character alphanumeric UEI is the official identifier for doing business with the U.S. Government as of April 4, 2022. You can obtain a UEI by visiting https://sam.gov. Entity registration, searching, and data entry in SAM.gov now requires use of the UEI.
  2. Once you have obtained your UEI number, you can complete registration at https://sam.gov. Registration must be completed prior to receiving any contract from the Department of Defense.
  3. To learn about a PSC or FSC, view the Product and Service Code Manual at https://www.acquisition.gov/psc_manual
  4. To learn about NAICS codes, visit https://www.census.gov/naics/
  5. If you are a small business, to find subcontracting opportunities on USACE contracts, search the Small Business Administration (SBA) Subcontracting Network at https://catalog.data.gov/dataset/subcontracting-network-subnet-system .
  6. All vendor direct deposit and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) information must be entered/maintained in the System for Award Management (SAM) located at https://sam.gov  . UFC Form 23, previously required for direct deposits/EFT payments by the Vicksburg District (MVK) is obsolete. To receive direct deposits/EFT payments, routing and banking information must be entered and maintained in the SAM. Failure to update/maintain this information in the SAM will result in vendors receiving payments via Treasury checks distributed by U.S. mail. The below links are provided for your information.
