Enid Lake Bridge Closure

VICKSBURG, MISS… As a precautionary measure, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District is closing the Enid Lake access bridge on Pope Road adjacent to the visitor center and fish hatchery off Interstate 55.  The bridge is closed until further notice.

All Enid Lake boat ramps and camp grounds are open.  Motorists visiting Enid Lake should be prepared to detour around the bridge closure. 

Traffic has been rerouted around a four mile detour. Drivers are advised to follow the detour signs, reduce speeds and be cautious while using this temporary detour. 

Enid Lake is one of the four flood control reservoirs in north Mississippi maintained and operated by the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District.  Information on Corps lakes and recreational areas can be found on the Vicksburg District’s website. http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil
