  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces publication of 2026 nationwide permits

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today the publication of the 2026 nationwide permits in the Federal Register. The 56 reissued and one new nationwide permit in the final action are necessary for work in streams, wetlands and other waters of the United States under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899.
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announces finalization of nationwide permits

    WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that it will reissue 56 existing nationwide permits and issue one new permit for work in wetlands and other waters that are regulated by Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and/or Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act of 1899. One existing permit will not be reissued.

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Arkabutla Lake will hold a youth squirrel hunt on January 17-18 and January 24-25, 2026, in the management area near Arkabutla Lake Dam. The youth squirrel hunt will provide an opportunity for experienced small game hunters to educate younger generations of hunters on proper techniques and ethics of the sport.

    VICKSBURG, Miss – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Sardis Lake announces that they are now accepting applications for a youth deer hunt on the weekend of January 9-11, 2026.
  • Grenada Lake Accepting Application for Special Veteran’s Deer Hunt

    VICKSBURG, Miss – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces that Grenada Lake is preparing to host its 2025 Veterans Deer Hunt. There is a change to the format of the hunt this year. There will be a doe-only hunt held below the Grenada Lake Dam on December 12-14, 2025. All participants who harvest at least 3 does during the first hunt will be placed in a draw for an opportunity to hunt one of our two refuges on December 26-28, 2025. During the second draw hunt, a buck may be harvested.
