SAME Board Inducts Corps Team Member into Academy of Fellows

Henry A. Dulaney, chief of Engineering and Construction Division of the Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District, has been named a Fellow by the National Board of Direction of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). 

  To earn the distinction of SAME Fellow, the society’s highest honor, members must exhibit dedication and outstanding service to SAME and to the engineering profession. In addition, an important role of a SAME Fellow is to mentor young members. Dulaney was formally inducted into the Academy of Fellows at an investiture ceremony held March 12, 2015, in Alexandria, VA.

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline levees. The district is engaged in hundreds of projects and supports disaster response in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Vicksburg, MISS... Henry A. Dulaney, chief of Engineering and Construction Division of the Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District, has been named a Fellow by the National Board of Direction of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME).

Dulaney has 30 years of experience with the Vicksburg District. As chief of Engineering and Construction, he is responsible for the management of all of the engineering and construction activities of the District. He has been a member of SAME for 22 years and has been an integral part of SAME’s operations. Since its inception in 2003, he has been directly involved with the planning and execution of the SAME/Army Engineering and Construction Camp held in Vicksburg. He has also served on the Vicksburg Post’s board of directors in multiple leadership roles.

Dulaney earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in engineering from Mississippi State University and is a registered professional engineer in the state of Mississippi.

He is married to the former Melissa Jordan of Jackson, and they are the parents of five children.
