The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District entered into Project Partnership Agreements (PPA) with the two cities, Marion and Quitman, Mississippi, September 12, 2022, as part of the Mississippi Environmental Infrastructure Program (Section 592). For the city of Marion, Mayor Larry Gill signed the Partnership Project Agreement and Col. Christopher Klein, Vicksburg District commander, signed for USACE. The signing ceremony was held at the Marion City Hall. For the city of Quitman, Mayor Steve Watkins signed the Partnership Project Agreement and Col. Christopher Klein, Vicksburg District commander, signed for USACE. The signing ceremony was held at the Quitman City Hall.
