Vicksburg District to host regional ‘Industry Day’

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District is scheduled to host a lower Mississippi Valley Division regional “Industry Day” event May 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the district’s headquarters building, located at 4155 Clay Street in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

The event will provide an opportunity for large and small business contractors to learn about current and future contracting opportunities throughout the lower Mississippi Valley Division and network with district leadership, program managers and other district representatives.

Memphis, Vicksburg and New Orleans district team members will be available to discuss future procurement opportunities for fiscal year 2019-2020.

The one-day event will include presentations from the Mississippi Development Authority and Small Business Administration and project overview briefings from USACE districts.

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline Mississippi River levees.
