Bodcau Dam Road Closed for Repairs to Dam

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline levees. Vicksburg, Miss… The Bodcau Dam Road in Bossier Parish has been ordered closed by the Bossier Parish Police Jury for repairs to the dam. There will be a detour on Highway 157 and take approximately two additional miles. It is not known at this time how long the repairs will take to complete. Signs will be posted for visitors to follow to the rifle range and horse trail. For more information call Tommy Jones (318) 949-1804.

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana. The Louisiana Field Office provides day-use activities and camping at the Ouachita-Black River, Red River, Bayou Bodcau, Caddo Lake, and Wallace Lake. These three river systems and two lakes have an annual attendance totaling over 1.2 million, supporting approximately 200 jobs and adding approximately $13 million into the local economy.
