Enid Lake Hosting Public Meeting on Project Master Plan

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline levees. VICKSBURG, Miss… The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District’s Enid Lake Field Office has scheduled a public meeting regarding the update of the Project Master Plan. The meeting will be held March 18, 2015, 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor and Education Center located below the Enid Lake dam, off I-55 Exit 233.

The purposes of the meeting are to open channels of communication, identify public interests and concerns, and solicit input on significant issues.

The Project Master Plan is the strategic land use management document that guides the comprehensive management and development of all projects recreational, natural, and cultural resources. The goal of the update is to identify the best management practices to respond to regional needs, resource capabilities, and expressed public interests consistent with the authorized project purposes.
