USACE VICKSBURG DISTRICT ANNOUNCES YOUTH HUNT AT SARDIS LAKE

Vicksburg, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at Sardis Lake will host a youth deer hunt on November 15-17, 2024 at the Sardis Waterfowl Refuge and Graham Lake Refuge. Youth hunts provide opportunities for younger hunters to experience the outdoors and learn hunting ethics and conservation from experienced hunters.

Applications must be submitted by 3:00 p.m. on October 30, 2024. Youth hunters will be randomly selected from all applications received. Hunters will be assigned to hunt either the Sardis Waterfowl Refuge or the Graham Lake Refuge.

This hunt will be open to youths 8 to 15 years of age. All youth hunters must be accompanied by an adult 21 years of age or older. All participants will be responsible for meeting all age-appropriate State and Federal hunting regulations.  The accompanying adult is encouraged to possess a general knowledge of State and Federal hunting regulations.
