VICKSBURG, Miss. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces that Grenada Lake will close the Old River Run Nature Trail for an extended period due to ongoing work in the area.
Grenada Lake personnel are completing a project to extend bank protection downstream from the overflow spillway into Bogue Creek. The exact length of the closure is unknown, but may extend into the early fall months of 2022.
The Old River Run Nature Trail is 0.6 miles long and located on the south side of the of the outlet channel near the playground area. The trail also offers excellent opportunities to view wildlife and follows both the old and the new Yalobusha River Runs.
