| Centuries old landslides threatening historic
Natchez, MS homes are being stabilized at this 150-180
foot bluff. Soil nail and mechanically stabilized walls
are used in the remediation. |

Mississippi River Levee Relief Wells
| Underseepage control method to relieve
excess pressures underneath several Mississippi River
levees (Commerce-Memphis District; Waterproof, Tallulah-Magna
Vista-Vicksburg District). Use of vibratory method of
installation by combination of contract and in-house labor
reduces cost to $8-10,000 per well. |

Grenada Dam Relief Wells
| Replacement of eight 14-inch diameter relief
wells 120 feet in depth in the outlet channel to relieve
excess heads. Installation was performed by in-house drilling
crews and lake personnel. |

Sardis Dam Remediation
| Seismically deficient due to potential
liquefaction of foundation cohesive soil. Remediation
measures consisted of an upstream stability berm and upstream
concrete piles to stabilize the hydraulically filled dam
during an earthquake from the New Madrid region. |
