Sardis , MS… . Due to low water conditions, swimming areas on the Lower Lake will be closed beginning August 4, 2016. Boating access will still be allowed on the Lower Lake, however, boaters are reminded to use caution during low water conditions. The water level in the Lower Lake has dropped over three feet since drawdown began on Monday, July 25.

Visitors to the lower lake area are reminded that the De-Water Inspections occurring throughout the month of August will affect the water levels on Sardis’s Lower Lake.

The swimming areas at Main Beach and Cypress Point will re-open once the inspections are completed and normal water levels return. Paradise Point will not reopen this season. A construction project to improve parking in the area will begin soon after the de-water inspections are complete.
