The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline levees. The district is engaged in hundreds of projects and employs approximately 1,000 personnel.

Vicksburg, Mississippi – Arkabutla Lake will hold its special wildlife management archery deer hunt in October 2013. There will be four designated hunts, each being held for two days. The dates are 4-5 October, 6-7 October, 18-19 October and 20-21 October. 

 

Applications for this event will be available Wednesday, 24 July 2013, at the Arkabutla Lake Field Office. Applicants selected must be legal residents of the State of Mississippi and at least 16 years of age. The deadline for receiving applications is 28 August 2013 at 3:00 p.m. A public drawing will be held on Wednesday, 4 September 2013, at 9:00 a.m. at the Arkabutla Lake Field Office.
