VICKSBURG, Miss.– Grenada Lake will host a special archery hunt Oct. 1, 2018 through Jan. 31, 2019. The hunt will be held at the south side of Old Highway 8 between 333 Restaurant and Wolf Creek Hollow. The hunters will have the option to use crossbows, compound bows, and traditional archery equipment.

Those interested in participating in this special archery hunt may register beginning Sept. 4 at the Grenada Lake Visitor Center. All who register for this hunt will receive a packet containing the rules and regulations as well as detailed maps of the designated area.

This hunt will aid in reducing the deer population and gather data pertaining to the deer herd to minimize habitat degradation.
