  • Vicksburg District waives Day-Use fees on Veterans Day

    Vicksburg, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District announced today that it will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at the more than 146 Vicksburg District recreational areas on Veterans Day, November 11.
  • Corps and City of Vicksburg to Sign Museum Cooperative Agreement

    Vicksburg, Miss…The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District will enter a cooperative agreement with the City of Vicksburg to expand the hours of the Jesse Brent Lower Mississippi River Museum. The museum will soon be open seven days a week because of this agreement.
  • Enid Lake Hosts Wounded Warrior Deer Hunt

    VICKSBURG, Miss…The second annual Wounded Warrior Deer Hunt has been scheduled for October 26-30, 2016 at Enid Lake of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District. The hunt will provide ten veterans the opportunity to harvest deer on approximately 700 acres of Corps land. These areas have been closed to all other hunting, resulting in a high deer density and a greater chance of harvest for the participants. These participants were selected by Wounded Warriors of Jackson.
