  • USACE Vicksburg District’s Arkabutla Lake accepting applications for youth squirrel hunt

    Vicksburg, Miss. -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District at Arkabutla Lake will hold a youth squirrel hunt on Jan. 14-15 and January 21-22, 2023 in the management area near Arkabutla Lake Dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District at Arkabutla Lake will hold a youth squirrel hunt on Jan. 14-15 and January 21-22, 2023 in the management area near Arkabutla Lake Dam.  A total of 12 hunters, six per hunt, will be selected from all applications received prior to the date of the drawing. Applications must be received by 3 p.m. on Dec. 14. Applications may be mailed, emailed or completed at the Arkabutla Lake Field Office, and returned to the Arkabutla Lake Field Office at:  3905 Arkabutla Dam Rd.  Coldwater, MS  38618. Applications are also available on the Arkabutla Lake website at https://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/Missions/Recreation/

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces that Arkabutla Lake will hold its annual Physically Challenged Deer Hunt this December. There will be two hunts, each lasting three days, on December 3 to 5 and December 10 to 12. Applications are available at the Arkabutla Lake Field Office. The deadline for receiving applications is November 5 at 3 p.m. Applicants will be notified on the second week of November if they have been selected for either hunt.

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District announces the dates for its fall archery draw hunts at Arkabutla Lake. Four separate hunts held in October and November with each hunt lasting two days. The dates for the hunts will be October 22 to 23, October 24 to 25, October 29 to 30 and October 31 to November 1.
