District Announces Annual Engineer’s Day Awards

David Wallace of the Technical Support Branch of Engineering and Construction Division received the Vicksburg District’s Employee of the Year Award. Wallace received this award for his outstanding dedication and initiative associated with providing valuable architect-engineer contracting and facilities relocations capabilities for the District, the region and other installations.

Amy Shultz of Operations Division’s Lake Ouachita Field Office received the Park Ranger of the Year Award for her sustaining promotions of water safety programs through media and personal contacts while educating the public of practicing proper water safety techniques.

John David Randolph of Engineering and Construction Division received the STEM Employee of the Year Award for his professionalism, dedication, and expert technical ability when sharing valuable information to students on science, technology, engineering and math.

Sarah Koeppel of Operations Division received the Commander’s Public Service Award for her leadership, selfless service and stewardship through volunteerism.  She consistently gives back to the community by providing opportunities for tomorrow’s leaders to learn and observe, while enhancing the quality of life for the local community.

Wesley Crosby of the Engineering and Construction Division received the Engineer Award for his leadership as the national technical expert for dams. Under his leadership, the Modeling, Mapping, and Consequence Production Center completed approximately 320 dam failure analyses to support the USACE Dam Safety and Critical Infrastructure, Protection and Resilience programs.

Under his leadership, the Modeling, Mapping, and Consequence Production Center completed approximately 320 dam failure analyses to support the USACE Dam Safety and Critical Infrastructure, Protection and Resilience programs.

Vicksburg, Miss… The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Vicksburg District recently hosted its annual Engineer’s Day Awards ceremony at District Headquarters.
