Sardis Lake Youth Fishing Rodeo

The Vicksburg District encompasses a 68,000-square-mile area across portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana that holds seven major river basins and incorporates approximately 460 miles of mainline levees. The district is engaged in hundreds of projects and supports disaster response in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

The district is engaged in hundreds of projects and supports disaster response in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Tennessee.

Sardis, Miss…… U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Sardis Lake, Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks, and First Security Bank of Batesville Mississippi are partnering to host the 26th annual Sardis Lake Youth Fishing Rodeo. It will be held June 7th at Cypress Point Recreation Area. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. with the rodeo starting at 7:30 a.m.

A section of the Lower Lake at Cypress point will be netted off and stocked with catfish. Participants must be 1 – 15 years of age and accompanied by an adult. All participants must register. Participants must bring their own fishing equipment and bait.
