Vicksburg, Miss – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District’s (Corps) is revising the Lake Greeson Master Plan. The current plan has been used as a guide for recreational and environmental stewardship decisions for over 30 years. It establishes development, administration, maintenance, preservation, enhancement, and management of all natural, cultural, and recreational resources of Lake Greeson.  It does not include water management operations such as dams, gates, powerhouses and spillways.

The Master Plan is stewardship driven and works to balance recreational development and protection of natural and cultural resources. It identifies classification of public lands and management categories that provide for full utilization while protecting project resources.

The Corps is seeking input from the public that will enhance interaction and future management of the lake. If any individuals have ideas and comments about the revision process, they are encouraged to contact the Lake Greeson Field Office, 155 Dynamite Hill Road, Murfreesboro, Arkansas, 71958. Phone 870-285-2151 or via email at lakegreeson@usace.army.mil .
