USACE Vicksburg District accepting bids for property leasing at Arkabutla, Grenada and Enid Lakes

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District will accept bids for property leasing at Arkabutla, Grenada and Enid lakes.

These properties will be leased for crops, highly erodible lands (HEL), pasture, hay and grazed woods purposes. Bids will be opened at district headquarters, Dec. 14 at 1:30 p.m. There will be no in-person bidding and all bids must be mailed.

Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked and addressed as follows:

No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a deposit in an amount equal to and not less than 50% or more of the annual rental offered to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a written lease agreement.

The deposit must be in the form of a bank check, official check, money order, or cashier’s check, payable to "FAO, USACE." The deposit of the successful bidder will be retained by the Government to apply against payment of the balance of the annual rental offered. Deposits of unsuccessful bidders will be returned, without interest, as promptly as possible after rejection, provided, however, that in the event of default by any bidder hereunder, the bidder's deposit may be applied by the Government to any loss, cost, or expense to the Government.
