Corps’ Vicksburg District releases notice of availability for leasing real property at Arkabutla Lake, Mississippi

VICKSBURG, Miss. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District will lease agricultural lands at Arkabutla Lake, Mississippi, to the public. These properties will be used for pasture, hay and grazed woods purposes and consist of acreage in Tate County, Mississippi.

The Vicksburg District will accept sealed bids for Invitation No. DACW38-9-18-118 until 2 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2018. Bids will be publicly opened beginning at that time. Anyone interested in bidding should send information in a sealed envelope, marked and addressed as follows: USAED, Vicksburg, Attention: Real Estate Division, 4155 Clay Street, Vicksburg, Mississippi 39183-3435.

No bid will be considered unless it is accompanied by a deposit in an amount equal to and not less than 50 percent or more of the annual rental offered to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a written lease agreement and pay a $100 Environmental Conditions of Property report fee and the balance of the rental due within ten days after the date of receipt of written notice of acceptance of the bid and the original lease for execution.
